Remembrance Day: Milton Keynes pays its respects with large poppy displays and events programme
Poppy displays and Remembrance Day services are being held across Milton Keynes to honour the servicemen and women who have given their lives in service to their country.
A number of large poppy displays have been installed as a sign of respect across Milton Keynes. Four poppies now feature at Station Square, creating a visible tribute for residents and visitors travelling through the city centre.
Additional displays have been installed at the North Grafton Roundabout underpass and Emberton Country Park, while three more poppies have been placed in Fred Roche Gardens.
The displays serve as a reminder of the courage, sacrifice and service of the Armed Forces community.

As part of the city's Remembrance commemorations, the Mayor of Milton Keynes, Councillor Paul Trendall, will attend a number of events in his role as both Mayor and Milton Keynes City Council's Armed Forces Champion.
He will attend Aylesbury Remembrance Service on Thursday, November 5, the Milton Keynes Lightning Remembrance Match on Saturday, November 7, and the New Bradwell Remembrance Observance on Sunday, November 8.
The Deputy Mayor and former Mayors of Milton Keynes will also be attending remembrance services and events across the city, joining communities as they pay their respects and reflect on the sacrifices made by generations of service personnel.
Councillor Paul Trendall, Mayor of Milton Keynes and Armed Forces Champion said: "Remembrance is an important opportunity for us to come together and honour those who served, those who continue to serve, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
“Across Milton Keynes, communities will gather to reflect, remember and give thanks. I am proud to represent our city at several commemorative events and grateful to everyone who helps ensure that the sacrifices of the Armed Forces community are never forgotten."
