Up to 250 new jobs as bankers Goldman Sachs plan to open in Milton Keynes

Global investment bankers Goldman Sachs are to open up in Milton Keynes - because of the '˜good quality office space and workforce'.

The new 21,000 sq ft premises on Caldecote Business Park will be the Goldman’s first ever UK office to be sited outside of London.

It will be the customer care centre for the company’s new online bank called Marcus.

Marcus launched to the public at the end of September and has already opened over 50,000 customer accounts.

They currently have a London-based customer care centre, offering a specialist customer service team between the hours of 8am and 8pm. The Milton Keynes customer care centre will provide further support as Marcus grows in the UK.

Milton Keynes was chosen because of its “ proximity to target workforce, excellent transport links, and supply of good quality office space”, say the company.

The office will be ready for occupation in the Summer 2019 and will initially be fitted out to accommodate 150 employees. It has capacity for up to 250 to support further growth.

Recruitment will begin in early 2019.
