The 23-year-old signed from Southampton last summer as back-up to the club’s number one David Martin.

After making his debut in the League Cup, Cropper went on to make 12 appearances during the season.

However, Cropper failed to keep a clean sheet, and was sent off in the 1-1 draw against Preston at Deepdale, giving away a penalty which striker Alex Revell saved.

He ended the season on the sidelines with a shoulder injury he picked up in the 4-1 defeat at the hands of Brentford at stadium:mk.
