James Ratcliffe has received The Bricks Site Recognition Award from LABC Warranty for the quality of his workmanship and overall site management. It is the first such award that James has won in his nine-year career with Bellway.

LABC Warranty is one of the largest providers of structural warranties in the UK. Working in partnership with Local Authority Building Control (LABC), its combined team of more than 3,700 surveyors work with housebuilders, contractors and housing associations.

Sites are scored by LABC Warranty Risk Management Surveyors during inspection visits, which take place regularly throughout key stages of construction. Those sites that consistently return high scores for quality of workmanship and site management are nominated for a Site Recognition Award.

James said: “I’m so proud to receive this award in recognition of our work at Greenleys Gardens. I’ve been the site manager here since Bellway started work on site in February 2025 and it’s been really pleasing to see how a new community has formed as residents have moved into the completed homes.

“This award speaks to the high standards we set for ourselves, and the consistent hard work of the entire team. Although it’s my name on the award, this achievement wouldn’t be possible without the commitment of everyone who shows up every day to deliver the very best homes that they can.”

Iain Hunter, Construction Director for Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: “We are immensely proud of James and his team who have been recognised for their unwavering commitment to achieving the highest standards in construction. Demonstrating workmanship of the highest quality, they build homes they would be proud to call their own which makes this accolade extremely well-deserved.”

Sarah Dee Shapland, Head of Technical Services at LABC Warranty, said: “It takes skill, commitment and a dedication to quality of construction for a site manager to receive a Bricks Site Recognition Award. Nothing pleases my team and I more than to see site managers meet and maintain such high standards.”

James and his team are building 110 new homes and a community pavilion at Greenleys Gardens, on the former site of Milton Keynes Rugby Club off Field Lane.
