Dobbies’ Milton Keynes Little Seedlings Club to explore the journey of leaves at free workshop this November

This November, Dobbies’ Milton Keynes store Little Seedlings Club will take children on a journey through the seasons, helping children discover the science behind its lifecycle. The free-to-attend workshop will take place in Dobbies’ stores on Sunday 1 November.

Children attending the workshop at the Milton Keynes store will discover what plants need for food, why leaves come in different shapes and sizes, and what causes them to change colour throughout the seasons. They’ll also explore leaves from around the world, learn how fallen leaves help nourish the soil and provide habitats for wildlife, and get creative with leaf-themed activities, including make their own paper plate leaf wreath to take home.

Dobbies’ Milton Keynes free and monthly Little Seedlings Club gives children the chance to learn about seasonal topics through fun, hands-on activities. Each workshop helps children explore and discover more about the natural world.

Dobbies’ Event Programme Manager, Hannah Stephen, said: “Our November Little Seedlings Club is a great chance for children to discover the fascinating world of leaves and how they change through the seasons.

“As well as learning something new, children will be able to get creative by making their own paper plate wreath to take home. We’re looking forward to welcoming our little seedlings back in November for another fun-filled session and helping inspire a love of nature.”
