From The Hudson Vally USA to Milton Keynes - The Sambovian Circus of Dreams revist their love affair with the UK

A breath of fresh air in a sometimes stagnant world - especially as a live act - with varied eclectic influences and great musicianship. Plus moustaches, hats and stage presence gild their Interesting and thought-provoking lyrics for the curious adult mind.” – Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull.

Since first crossing the Atlantic in 2008, The Slambovians have quietly built one of the most devoted followings of any American band on UK soil. There's something about that fusion — the deep American roots filtered through a distinctly British folk sensibility — that resonates here in a way few bands manage.

Tour after tour, festival after festival, they've returned (this is their 13th trip across the pond) — not chasing trends, but nurturing something far more meaningful: a genuine connection. It's why they've been voted Best Band by fans and promoters alike. It's why rooms fill with returning faces. And it's why every show feels less like a gig… and more like a reunion.Their music carries echoes of Laurel Canyon, Woodstock, Celtic shores and Appalachian hills — but it lands right here, in rooms where people still listen… really listen.

Their new release is also a celebration of their first live album in years and in honour of their nation’s 250th birthday, ‘13-Live’. The band arrive at The Stables on 6th September

Voted “Best Band” by NY’s Chronogram Magazine for their rootsy, rockin’ psychedelia and fantastic stories and songs, the Slambovians’ deep connection with audiences and exciting live shows are legendary. Woodstock-tinged Americana blends a cool mix of southern rock, Celtic and British folk combined with solid songwriting – a slice of Americana pie that is irresistible!

The Band: Joziah Longo (resident shaman of Slambovia), leads with vocals described as “soothing and bewitching as a snake oil tonic.” Longtime bandmates Tink Lloyd (accordion, cello, mandolin, flute) and guitarist/ mandolin wizard Sharkey McEwen bring their own magic to the Slambovian brew with “a little help from their friends” – RJ McCarty (keys, bass, sax), Bob Torsello (bass), and Matthew Abourezk (drums).
