Milton Keynes BMX Racing Club enjoyed a fantastic day of racing at its home track as 43 MK riders took to the gates for the latest round of the Winter Regional Series.

The home advantage paid off, with strong performances across the age groups helping MK climb to second place in the regional standings as the winter series continues.

There were four outstanding first-place finishes for MK riders. Charlie B claimed victory in Male 11–12, Martha K topped the podium in Female 13–15, Jamie T secured first place in Male 15–16, and Jack N took the win in the 6-and-under category.

The club was also delighted to welcome eight riders competing in their first-ever regional race: Rosie N, Louise H, Dan N, Jude J, Hunter S, George M, Jude C and Oliver G. Taking that first step onto the regional stage is a fantastic achievement, and their participation highlights the club’s commitment to developing riders of all ages and abilities.

More girls on the start line

One of the biggest successes of the day was the continued growth of female participation. Eight female riders competed for MK, representing a significant increase on the previous year and a positive step towards making BMX racing more accessible and encouraging more girls to get involved in the sport.

Milton Keynes BMX Racing Club is committed to ensuring female riders are valued equally. Demonstrating that commitment, the club matched the female Superclass prize payout to the male Superclass payout, regardless of the number of entries in each category.

The club believes that female riders work just as hard as their male counterparts and deserve the same recognition and reward for their efforts.

With 43 riders representing MK, four category victories and a move into second place in the regional standings, the home round was a great showcase of the club’s talent, team spirit and ambition.

MK BMX Racing Club is always keen to welcome new riders. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced racer looking to develop your skills, the club offers opportunities to get involved and discover the excitement of BMX racing.
