Milton Keynes residents urged to report large gatherings with underage drinking to police
Police are asking Milton Keynes residents to report any large gatherings involving underage drinking in residential properties, particularly in short-term rented accommodation and holiday lets.
Officers say they have seen a rise in the number of incidents where properties have been hired and used for parties involving underage people. In a number of cases, the property has suffered severe damages, causing high costs for owners and risks to those attending.

A spokesperson from Thames Valley Police said: “Large gatherings involving alcohol can quickly become unsafe, leading to disorder, anti-social behaviour, criminal damage, and concerns for the welfare of young people.
“If you become aware of a large gathering, party, or suspected underage drinking event taking place in your area, please report it to us as soon as possible.”
Police say that early reporting allows officers to take appropriate action to safeguard those involved and minimise disruption to the local community.
Non-emergency concerns can be reported by calling 101 or online. In an emergency, or if there is an immediate risk to safety, always call 999.
