Plans for 66-bed care home among latest applications in Milton Keynes
Plans have been submitted for a 66-bed care home for older people in Milton Keynes as part of a new round of planning applications published by the city council.
The proposed care home would be built at Fairfield, in an area north of Barossa Way and west of Shetland Drive. The application seeks approval of detailed plans covering access, appearance, landscaping, layout and scale, following an existing outline planning permission.

The proposal is among several schemes featured in the latest public notices issued by Milton Keynes City Council, including plans to convert historic farm buildings into a home and changes to an approved housing development.
At Longueville Court, Old Wolverton Road, an application seeks permission to convert existing stable and barn outbuildings into a dwelling, with a linked extension connecting the two buildings. Associated access and other development are also proposed. A separate application seeks listed building consent for the same scheme.
Changes are also proposed at land adjoining Walton Manor, where permission already exists for up to 174 homes, outdoor community event space and a flexible commercial unit. The latest application seeks to amend approved plans and the housing accommodation schedule, replacing the approved house types on five plots.
In Central Milton Keynes, plans have been submitted to replace the existing shopfront at 672 Silbury Boulevard, install new signage and add rooftop plant, alongside associated works.
Other proposals include an entrance ramp to improve access at Woburn Sands Methodist Church on the High Street, and the installation of an external heating, ventilation and air conditioning condenser at 156 Midsummer Arcade.
At Home Farm on Hanslope Road, Castlethorpe, an application proposes laying a concrete slab over an existing agricultural yard and installing inspection and catch pits to improve site drainage.
In Wolverton, proposed alterations to 12 Windsor Street include a single-storey rear and side extension, a loft conversion with a rear dormer, replacement sash windows and slate roof tiles.
Further applications include two gazebos and a picket fence at Old Beams in Shenley Lodge, flood-resilience timber gates at Toll House in Newport Pagnell, a detached car port in Little Brickhill and 14 solar panels on an existing carport roof at 133 High Street, Olney.
Representations on the applications can be submitted in writing to Milton Keynes City Council within 21 days of publication of the relevant notice.
