This September, Temi Commic Music, led by Nigerian-born Milton Keynes-based musician Temitope Oluwaseun Adeoye, presents Keys of Heritage – Celebrating Nigerian Traditional Music, Rhythm & Culture.

Taking place on 20 September 2026 in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, Keys of Heritage is a community cultural programme created to celebrate the richness of Nigerian and African heritage through live music, traditional rhythms, spoken word, art and creative expression.

For Temi, a keyboardist and live musician with years of experience performing Nigerian and African music, the programme represents something deeply meaningful: an opportunity to use music to keep cultural heritage alive while sharing it with the wider UK community.

“Our heritage has a story, and music gives that story a voice. Keys of Heritage is about celebrating where we come from while creating a space where people from different cultures and generations can experience that heritage together.” — Temi Commic

The programme will bring together musicians, artists, poets and other creatives, providing a platform for collaboration and cultural exchange. It will also encourage younger generations to engage with the music, rhythms, stories and traditions that form an important part of Nigerian identity.

At its heart, Keys of Heritage is about community, inclusion and unity in diversity. It demonstrates how traditional culture can remain relevant in a modern multicultural society and how music can build bridges between people from different backgrounds.
